What services do we offer?

We offer Electromyography (EMG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and Quantitative EMG Motor Unit Analysis (QEMUA) at all practice locations.

Do I need a referral?

Yes, you do need a valid referral from your General Practitioner (GP) or Specialist. You can find our referral template here.

How much does it cost?

Most services are bulk-billed with no “gap fee”/out-of-pocket expense for patients with valid Medicare Cards. We also accept WorkCover, Insurance DVA patient referrals. Our bookings staff will confirm your eligibility when they contact you to offer an appointment.

When does my Doctor receive the results?

Your test is analysed by our Neurologist and a clear, comprehensive report is then provided to your Referring Doctor, usually within 24 hours of your test being performed.

How long does it take?

Allow approximately 1 .5 – 2 hours for nerve conduction studies (NCS) and/or electromyography (EMG).

How experienced are your Doctors?

Our credentialed Consultant Neurologists have extensive experience in neurology and neurophysiology. They are supported by a dedicated team of Neurophysiology Scientists, who are well qualified and highly trained in the tests which they perform. All our staff undertake continuing training to ensure that they remain current in their knowledge and skills.

Do I still take my medications?

YES, please continue to take all prescribed medications.
